Who doesn't like butterflies?  They are fascinating creatures filled with colors and patterns that go beyond the imagination.  Though I am not a butterfly enthusiast nor a collector, I do love to photograph them at every opportunity.  I thought I would share some of my photos on the web for your enjoyment. Eventually, I will add some scientific names to the specimens I've photographed, but for now, I've used common names.  Even at that, I cannot attest that they are all correct.  In researching butterflies on the Internet, I have frequently found the same name used for totally different looking species as well as multiple names applied to what appears to be the same butterfly. If any of you etymologists out there can identify any of my butterflies (either common or scientific names), I would be happy to post the identifications.
